Important information about Parish Meetings
All scheduled public meetings of the Parish Council are currently suspended.
The Coronavirus Act 2020 permits authorities to make changes to their meeting arrangements and have flexibility to hold meetings at a time, day and frequency to suit their own needs. Lydlinch Parish Council aims to continue meeting on Monday evenings at 7pm on an as required basis rather than to the normal schedule.
Notice of meetings will be published on the Parish Council web site on the Tuesday of the week preceding the meeting date. Press and Public may join the meeting by telephone. Please contact the Clerk to request joining instructions .

Reporting a problem or emergency about a road or pavement
Highway emergencies
An emergency on the highway is defined as something that will cause, or has already caused, damage to a person or property. This includes:
- damage caused to the highway by an accident
- obstructions/debris/hazards on the highway which could cause an accident
- significant flooding of the highway
- oil spillages significant enough to cause a road hazard
Problems on roads and pavements
Problems with a road or pavement that do not constitute an emergency as defined by Dorset Highways include:
- potholes
- abandoned vehicles
- fly-tipping
- traffic lights and pedestrian crossings
